Dr. Ramneek Mangat was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Spanish from DePaul University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with clinical honors.
Dr. Mangat started her career working in rural Georgia where she treated and managed a lot of ocular pathology. She then practiced in Illinois as an attending doctor for fourth year optometry students on clinical rotation. She provides full-scope primary eye care, and her special interests include ocular disease and dry eye management. She also performs exams in Spanish and Punjabi.
Dr. Mangat traveled internationally to provide eye care to underserved populations in Guatemala. She has done volunteer work with the Blind Service Association and minority communities throughout Chicago. She looks forward to now serving the Bay Area.
Dr. Mangat resides in San Jose. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and hiking with her husband.
